The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) reported house sales and house listing activity has maintained a consistent pace in recent months, which is has helped create balanced conditions.

Sales were the lowest total for April since 2001 and 16.9% below the 10 year April sales average.

New listings in Greater Vancouver for April 2012: 6,056 (includes detached, attached and semi-detached and apartments). This is a 3.6% increase from the same time last year

Benchmark Price for all residential properties in Greater Vancouver: $683,800 - a 3.7% increase compared to April 2011 and a 2.8% increase over the last 3 months.

Detached Property Sales for April 2012: 1,126 units sold - a decrease of 19.7% from same time last year.
Benchmark price for Detached Home in April 2012: $1,064,800 - a 6.3% increase from April 2011

Apartment Property Sales for April 2012: 1,190 units sold - a decrease of .9% from April 2011
Benchmark price of an apartment property: $375,900 - a 1.1% from same time last year

Townhome Property Sales for April 2012: 483 units sold - a 22.3% decrease from April 2011.

Bowen Island is a quiet little Island located off the Coast of West Vancouver. To access Bowen Island by ferry, you need to take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay and it is only a 20 min. ferry ride before you arrive on the Island. Approximately 6 km wide by 12 km long.
